Restorative Practices is a pillar of the Academy and has supported our coummunity development over the years! We are are excited to bring a new program to our families to learn about Restorative Practices.
We all want our children to be successful. Just as we need food, shelter, and clothing, we also
need meaningful relationships to thrive. Restorative practices is the study of building and
maintaining relationships between individuals and communities where everyone feels valued,
heard, and respected. It addresses misbehavior and harm in a way that strengthens relationships
and empowers change and growth.

The goal of this program is to provide caregivers with information and experiences that
will assist you in being active partners with your child’s education. In this interactive program and
through common scenarios, we will discuss ways to set high expectations while being
supportive, participatory decision making, expressing emotions, and ways to build, maintain, and
strengthen relationships. You will learn the basic understanding of restorative practices as
well as strategies to use at home that align with school processes.
