What’s your greatest takeaway from Bio-Med so far?
My biggest takeaway from Bio-Med so far is that you will have to work with lots of people in your life. Along with that you will also have to be collaborative while working with those people.
– Class of 2027
My greatest takeaway from Bio-Med so far is that as a student you should strive to do your best, not because you have to but because you want to better yourself and expand your learning parameters.
– Class of 2023
No matter what gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation you are, everyone is accepted, and no one is alone. Everyone is unique with their own unique story; show love to everyone because you never know what they are going through.
– Class of 2025
Everything. I have learned so much.

What are you most proud of in your academic development?
I am most proud of my growth and how far I have come with caring about my future.
– Class of 2023
That I have been able to learn in a way that fits me.
– Class of 2023
I've certainly gotten better with personal agency and remembering to work on assignments when I need to instead of putting the whole thing off because I don’t have one piece of information.
– Class of 2028
I am most proud of the help I’ve gotten from the staff to help me be proud of my academic performance.
– Class of 2025
I don't even have to think twice when assigned a group project or presentation because I'm so used to doing that type of work. I think that is good because in the workforce you need to be a good communicator and collaborator.

What would your message be to a student/parent who is considering the Academy?
I would tell this parent that Bio-Med is extremely hands-on and project based. This allows for a deeper understanding of the topic we have been studying. There are many extracurricular activities that you may take part in, including drama, art, and chess clubs as well as student council. Overall, Bio-Med is a great school to attend.

The Academy, it’s different, something that you haven't done before, but it’s worth it at the end whatever you want to be, it’s here. But it’s not easy. Helping you become more professional in thinking in all subjects.

It's not that bad here. We are a great school with great staff, students and we are fun to learn at and we have done a great job of teaching students like myself. Come here, it’ll be fun!
– Class of 2029
If a student/parent is considering this academy I would say that this academy has taught me so much, like how to communicate and collaborate with others. It has been a great experience for me so far and I hope my journey here continues. I made a lot of friends even after moving. We typically only do things that lead up to projects that will better our learning and often, instead of tests and homework, we have fun projects possibly with a partner/friend. If you are coming to this academy, I hope that you do because this has been one of the best experiences I have ever gotten to enjoy. My friends also help me with projects, and you can share even the wildest of ideas. If you choose to come to this academy, I hope you have as good an experience as I do.

It's very difficult to adjust with the program, but I do not think it is a regrettable decision. Bio-Med's learning curriculum helps me improve on all of its Personal Attributes, such as communication, engaged learning, personal agency, etc. At first, it is not easy to follow. It took me a long time to get used to the program and how it functions; however, I am very glad I had chosen Bio-Med over my old school. The learning is great! It helps me focus and think out of the box from traditional learning. It's engaging and enjoyable. Very glad I joined.
