Project Description

After learning about what Food Deserts are and that our district is, in fact, located within a food desert, students are tasked with coming up with a solution that will help mitigate the effects of the food desert on our local community.

Learning Objectives

• Research Exploration – Student identifies, evaluates and analyzes appropriate resources and tools for project completion.
• Application of Processes – Student thoughtfully observes, researches, and analyzes the problem to develop creative solutions and assess relationships between variables.
• Self-Monitoring – Student analyzes and communicates their progress toward meeting goals or objectives.
